Streeter Marshall's Solicitors
On Tuesday four members of Croydon Area Gay Society protested outside the offices of Streeter Marshall's office's. They there they were with Rainbow Flag Flying, to protest at the homophobic comments that had been made in an email sent to the Law Society by David Moore a senior partner who opposed the Law Societies support for 'Gay Pride 2009'. He had expressed his opposition to the Law Societies support for 'Pride' in homophobic terms, unacceptable for any senior member of a law firm to make anywhere, but especially in a borough where it has been estimated that 30.000 lesbians & gay men live or work. The slogan for the protest was :-
"NO HOMOPHOBIA IN THE LEGAL PROFESSION"
The Croydon Advertiser & the local Guardian have given cover to the protest...well worth a decko.. it would also add to the campaign, if members wrote letters to these publication expressing their support for the protest and their dismay at the sentiments shown by Mr David Moore.. The question is..would you now want to consult with Streeter Marshall's?????
