CAGS out and about

Despite the wettest August for many years, we had a couple of good days out. At Wakehurst Place some of us heard the history of the house while others explored the botanical gardens, and afterwards Stanley served one of his delicious meals.

On Philip’s walk around Kensington we saw some interesting places, including Holland Park gardens and the amazing Leighton House (created by the distinguished artist and confirmed bachelor Lord Leighton) and had lunch at the Churchill Arms with its incredible floral displays.
